About the Committee
The Runnells Pride and Beautification Committee is a group of dedicated volunteers commissioned by the Mayor to oversee all beautification projects for our town and create an awareness of the beautification efforts of our community. The creation of the committee is an effort to bring together a single table of people and groups that would like to actively engage in community beautification projects. It is hoped that this cooperative venture will net greater impact and a better quality of life in the community.

The commission is charged with researching, developing, and proposing plans for improving the health, sanitation, safety, and cleanliness of the city by beautifying the entryways, streets, alleys, lots, yards, and other similar projects. The commission shall have no authority or control over the operation of any department of the city. This volunteer citizen committee works in an advisory capacity to the Mayor and City Council. All projects must be approved by the City Council.

The Runnells Pride and Beautification Committee consists of 7 voting members, as well as an unlimited number of Friends of the Committee who assist with ideas and completion of projects. The committee agrees to welcome the attendance of Mayor appointed liaisons representing the city and Park and Recreation Board. Liaisons will have no voting power. City residency is not required.

If you would like to help, you can be added to the Friends of the Runnells Pride and Beautification Committee list by contacting a committee member.
